Nissan has upgraded the Murano’s standard DVD satellite navigation system to the latest clearer and quicker version first seen in the Pathfinder and more recently made available in the 350Z. The Murano’s engine has also been upgraded to meet Euro 4 emissions regulations. Yet, with no price change, the Murano is still as fantastic value for money as ever.
The latest generation Birdview™ DVD satellite navigation system incorporates clearer on-screen graphics, easier to use software, faster route calculation and covers 23 countries in seven different languages. The system offers many features to simplify the inputting sequence as well as clearly displaying the direction to take, ensuring easier and quicker decision making. Other changes include:

Ability to see a map of the alternative route options – short distance, short time or minimise motorway enabling you to choose the best direction

Different split screen options to show distance countdown to junction with two different aerial displays or a visual display with directional instructions

Traffic Information (TMC) continues to be fitted to help you avoid the latest traffic incidents by diverting you around the situation. And, to celebrate the efficient journey you have just taken the system can be set to bark like a dog or meow like a cat when you arrive at your set destination. Or if you are not an animal lover then settle for a simple "bong".
The Murano’s 3.5 litre V6 engine, linked with Nissan’s efficient X-Tronic CVT transmission and operated through the ALL-MODE 4x4 system, now meets the stringent Euro 4 emission levels with no effect to the performance or economy.
Buying decisions are always simple to make with Murano as the only choice is ‘what colour should I have?’ However, there are now two new colours available, Salsa Red and Universal Silver, while Sunlit Copper and Blade Silver have been deleted.
The one grade fits all specification remains unchanged, along with the price of £29,995 on the road. But for that you get bi-xenon headlamps, 18" alloy wheels, leather upholstery, heated seats, Bose stereo system and colour rear parking camera to name just a few.
