Pagani Zonda F Breaks Nurburgring Production Car Lap Record
This Landaulet concept gets an uprated V12 engine, co-designed by AMG. The 6.0 litre machine cranks out 612 horsepower, and 738 ft-lb of torque from 2000 to 4000 rpm and from 4800 to 5100 rpm. With twin turbochargers and water intercooling, this engine is a step up from the V12 found in the 62 S - the most powerful production limo.

also... i could not see a stock m3 csl going faster than this... seriously now... an inline 6 vs an amg v12??? i mean the m3 IS a great car but this is far better in terms of speed and thrill.. just LOOK at it! :) cant wait to hear all the m3 lovers saying their car is better than this :)

A quite heavily modified CSL dod that run. A supercharger that gave it around 600bhp. The interior was discarded, and replaced with a roll cage and race seat, while windows and various items of bodywork were exchanged for lighter equivalents. The exterior also gained some go-faster fins on the wheelarches and a GTR-alike wing. More importantly, the car rides on a bespoke K&W, suspension set-up with big Performance Friction brakes...

All that money on a supercar and they couldnt spend any money on a decent cam corder lol! But good lap tho and well see how long it lasts,
Hopefully one day we might see a Koenigsegg going round there.

Only light goes faster arround that track. And that Porsche maybe, yes Heinz.

This BMW M3 CSL seems to have gone around the track faster than the zonda. The BMW M3 CSL is a road legal production car. has been modified but still is a production car which this title states the zonda is the fastest of. congrats to BMW for holding down the title until porsche unveils their new models to take back the crown.

i do believe that this particular CSL had little to nothing in common with a regular CSL and therefore is very much a bespoke CSL, therefore no longer a production CSL as hey, BMW didn't produce the car with 600BHP eh? Congratulations to Pagani for taking the title of fastest production car to lap the Nurbs!

Well if you look at the prices, I rather buy the CSL. What an amazing machine.
by bmwaddict | November 27, 2007 12:58 PM
just remember the price for the CSL doesnt actually buy you an interior.... just a shell and an engine... plus the zonda is a classic looking car....

loaded csl has done 7 min 22 as i remember. and its official as ive seen the real cockpit video so bad luck pagani zonda f. even though its one of my favourite exotics its not the title holder.

the proof of loaded csl running 7.22 is on streetfire.com. zonda f has beaten my beloved carrera gt's 7.28 record. however im not sure if loaded csl belongs to production car category as its heavily modified. but one thing for sure, the loaded csl is 5 seconds quicker with 7.22 with proven video on streetfire.

Wait till the Zonda R hits the track this summer. I predict ultimate destruction of all previous track records for a street legal production car.
by radmeister | November 28, 2007 5:49 PM
lol first the zonda didnt make it. then the zonda s couldnt make it. now with their 3rd attempt with the zonda f they only shaved off .2 seconds off the cgts time. carrera gt hopefully will re test to regain title. lucky for pagani gemballa mirage gt is not on the track.

Donkervoort is a production car is it not? It looks to still hold the fastest time for a stock production car. I know there has been some debate about it's validity since it had a modified exterior, but my understanding is that those are factory options. Either way, it's ridiculously fast!
