Leaked: 2008 Peugeot 308

In about a week and a half PSA will announce that their brand new 2008 Peugeot 308 will be revealed at the 2007 IAA in Frankfurt in September. So courtesy of the entire automotive blogosphere, here are the pictures that will accompany that release! It may look like a facelift of the 307, but Peugeot has assured us the car is all new.

As far as specs go, we can only speculate until June 5th, but here are the rumours. The 308 will be at dealerships in France by September and about a month later in most other European countries. It will initially come as a hatchback with a 120 hp 1.6-liter gasoline engine, later a wagon and CC version will be added to the line-up. Also, predicted for autumn 2008 is the 308 RC with 220hp 2.0-liter turbo.

Diesel engines will be available as 1.6, 2.0 and 2.2-liter Hdi versions. In addition, a diesel - elektro hybrid will come on the market as well as an E85-bioethanol version.
