If you are told about a widebody kit for the Smart forTwo Cabrio, you could be forgiven for having that quick glance over to the calendar checking if it is April 1st, but we have to say the experts over at Austrian tuner Konigseder have pulled it off with a great deal of success.

The kit widens the model by an additional 30mm in each direction and consists of wheel arches housing new 17 inch wheels, side skirts and a restyled front bumper with larger air intakes and an additional lower spoiler.

The rear stays largely unchanged but the rear wheel arches get extra air intakes for additional cooling for the brakes, the look is completed with a flowery (yes, that's flowery) exterior body artwork on its white livery. Beneath the bodywork, the forTwo has been left alone apart from a set Eibach sport springs which lower the overall ride height of the vehicle thus improving the driving dynamics.

I like it. Does anyone know if the BRABUS version of the ForTwo will be available in the USA?

Yes it will, but like anything with a Brabus tag, it won't come cheap.

I'd say around 25K$ and for that kind of money you get... well... 110BHP?

No! What's your problem?! Jesus, that is ugly. Where is Clarkson with a big gun when you need him?

Well said!

I love the smart. Koenigseder usually have a more subtle tuning style but this I like too. A crazy looking smart is cool, just like the works mini is cool.

Besides mate, Top Gear have done a review of the most fun you can have without breaking the bank and guess what... the smart Brabus was one of their choices.

Which Smart, that Brabus Smart Roadster with two engines? =P I remember Top Gear being quite disparaging about the forTwo's handling characteristics. Obviously the styling of this Smart is individualistic, so cheers! I do like the floral details.

On their website, the review was of the new Fortwo Brabus.

They're pushing it with the floral pattern, but the kit is bonkers.
