There were some who may have thought they had died and gone to heaven when the Cadillac CTS Coupe Concept was surprisingly unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show early this year. It got even better when prototypes started appearing on the streets confirming General Motors had given the production version the green light and now we can tell you the wait to see the new model variant of the CTS in full glory is less than three months away.
In a recent presentation, General Motors allowed a select few journalists and Caddy enthusiasts to see the new model in person, unfortunately no photography was allowed but one piece of news that came out of the event was the confirmation of its world debut at the 2008 Los Angeles Auto Show in November.
The production CTS Coupe will maintain much of the design already seen in the concept. Going forward from the A-pillars the design remains identical to the CTS sedan, the rear gets a centrally mounted exhaust and the doors will feature touch-pad door handles similar to those found on the Corvette. Rear visibility on the vehicle is pretty poor, therefore GM will incorporate a rear-view camera into the interior.
The first models will come off the production line at GM's Lansing Grand River assembly plant in the summer of 2009 when it is released as a 2010 model.

It's one mean looking car that would look nice and aggresive in black.
Nice job!
